GRP Fabrication & Installation

Expert Fibreglass Grating Fabricators

As a leading fibreglass grating company, we design, manufacture and fabricate a complete range of GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) products, including platforms, stairs, stair treads and covers, marina decking, embedment angles, solid GRP plates, flooring systems, structural profiles, ladders and rung covers.

Our in-house team can build complex GRP structures that offer significant advantages over traditional steel alternatives, combining high strength, corrosion resistance and low maintenance with rapid installation.

GRP Fabrication & Cutting Capabilities

Our in-house fabrication workshop specialises in the precise cutting, shaping and assembly of GRP products. Using advanced tooling, CAD layouts and hand-finished detailing, we create custom structures, walkways and platforms that meet exact project specifications.

Because GRP is lightweight and easy to modify on site, we can reduce labour time and overall project cost while still achieving long-term performance in demanding environments.

Typical fabrication services include:

  • GRP platforms, gantries and walkways
  • Staircases, stair treads and landings
  • Tank covers, screening and access covers
  • Handrails, edge protection and safety barriers
  • Bespoke cut-to-size plates, panels and grating

Products & Materials

GRP Grating Systems supply and fabricate GRP, steel and aluminium products for civil and industrial projects. Our materials are used in walkways, gantries, staircases, handrails, flooring, balconies, ladders and access covers. Every product is chosen for strength, corrosion resistance and long-term performance in demanding environments.

Design & Expertise

Our in-house design team develops engineered solutions for each project using advanced CAD software. We produce accurate drawings and fabrication layouts to maximise efficiency and precision. Working closely with clients, we deliver compliant, cost-effective designs that meet exact specifications and safety standards.

Fabrication

Our fabrication team turns designs into fully finished GRP structures, from pre-cut components to assembled panels and platforms. Using controlled workshop processes, we ensure consistent quality, accurate tolerances and fast turnaround. Each item is built for durability and reliable performance on site.

Installation

Our directly employed installation teams are experienced in GRP, steel and aluminium systems. We manage projects from delivery to on-site assembly, working safely and efficiently to minimise disruption. Installations are completed to the highest quality standards, ensuring excellent long-term service.

GRP Fabrication & Installation FAQs

We fabricate everything from simple cut-to-size panels through to complete walkways, stairs, platforms, handrails, ladders, tank covers and bespoke access structures. If it can be built in GRP, we can usually design and manufacture it.

Yes. We can work from your drawings or provide a full design-and-build service, including concept design, CAD layouts, fabrication, delivery and installation by our in-house teams.

In most cases, yes. GRP offers comparable strength at a fraction of the weight, with excellent corrosion resistance. It is ideal for replacing ageing steel or timber structures where rust, rot or high maintenance are a concern.

We regularly supply and install GRP systems for water and wastewater treatment, power generation, chemical processing, marine and coastal sites, transport infrastructure, manufacturing facilities and public sector projects.

Lead times depend on project complexity and workload, but GRP fabrication is generally faster than traditional steelwork. Once designs are approved, we can manufacture and install within tight programmes, especially for shutdown or possession work.

Yes. GRP’s lightweight nature makes it ideal for restricted or elevated locations where lifting capacity is limited. We can pre-fabricate modular sections off-site and assemble them quickly in situ to minimise disruption.
