38mm GRP Grating FAQs
The 38mm panel is typically used where higher loads or wider spans are involved. Yes. Panels can be cut using standard carbide-tipped saws with appropriate dust extraction. This makes it easy to form openings, notches and perimeter details around equipment, pipework and structural steel without the hot works associated with steel grating.
In most cases, yes. The grating can be fixed onto existing steel beams, angles or channels using stainless steel clips or saddles. We can advise on recommended fixing types and spacing to ensure the system performs as intended.
The gritted surface on our 38mm GRP grating achieves an enhanced slip resistance with a CoF of 1.04 (tested to BS 4592-0), making it suitable for wet, oily or outdoor conditions where traditional metal grating can become hazardous.
